president of the tampa tea party endorses margaret iuculano

(MediaQuire/Tampa, Fl)-Sharon Calvert, President of the Tampa Tea Party, has thrown her support to Margaret Iuculano. Margaret Iuculano is the conservative Republican running to unseat the incumbent County Commissioner Kevin Beckner. “I personally endorse Margaret Iuculano for Hillsborough County Commission, District 6. Margaret is a grassroots citizen candidate and successful self-made business woman. Her personal story as well as her work with foster children in the community through her foundation is very compelling. Her business acumen in the private sector will bring leadership with new ideas and solutions that will benefit the citizens, foster economic growth, and protect the taxpayers from wasteful spending.” Sharon Calvert is a local active voice for the conservative movement.

In 2010 Iuculano worked with local community leaders to help defeat the penny sales tax referendum that was heavily supported by Kevin Beckner and other commissioners. It called for an increase in the local sales tax to fund light rail and other transportation improvements. The referendum was soundly rejected by the voters of Hillsborough County. “This endorsement from Sharon is more than I could have expected” says Iuculano, “She is of the highest of quality and I am very humbled that she has chosen to support my efforts. She has significant insight into our county issues and I look forward to working with her throughout my campaign.”
