Special Issue Features the Best Home Decorating Stories with Fresh and Classic Content
(MediaQuire) NEW YORK, NY – Domino Quick Fixes, a new, special edition from Condé Nast, is now available on national newsstands, with a collection of Domino’s best home decorating stories. The issue focuses on easy, often inexpensive changes that make a striking difference – from fast furniture fixes and ways to wake up a wall to more involved DIY projects like a kitchen face-lift or dressing up a home office. Domino Quick Fixes is available through July 16, 2012, for $10.99. A second special edition is scheduled for the fall.
Domino Quick Fixes embodies the principle that “home should make you happy†and delivers fresh stories and new items to buy, combined with highlights of the magazine’s best content. The issue outlines 334 Best Makeovers and Easy Decorating Tips in three sections: “The Makeover Manual,†“The Inspirations,†and “The Sourcebook.â€
The special edition begins with “The Makeover Manual,†offering 48 mini projects to help live with style and ease: fast ways to update furniture, hide radiators, add a room, decorate a wall, and create a welcoming entrance. The issue concludes with “The Sourcebook,†outlining 195 places to buy both high-end and amazingly affordable goods for every room in the house — from nickel faucets and kitchen cabinets to garden furniture, beds and bedding, rugs, and more.
At the heart of the issue is “The Inspirations,†with ideas for home renovations and improvements, room enhancements and finishing touches. The section presents a design deconstruction of six varied homes: tips include making the most of a small apartment; mastering a minimalist, uncluttered abode; and creating a livable, kid-friendly space with suggestions from a California family. It also features DIY plans for upgrading four of the most important rooms in the house — the kitchen, bedroom, bath, and home office. Completing the section are the vital finishing touches of accessories and color, including easy spring bouquets and the perfect paint palette.
Domino Quick Fixes will also be available as a digital edition for the iPad, the Fire, and the Nook in late May. Target is the exclusive sponsor of the print and digital editions. Target will also sponsor the forthcoming fall issue.
Domino Quick Fixes joins other past Condé Nast branded special editions, including: Gourmet Comfort, Vogue Best Dressed, Vanity Fair Hollywood Scandal, and Glamour 1,000 Dos & Don’ts to Dress by Forever, among others.
