Closure centers on Robert Goodwin, who returns home from work to find his beloved wife and daughter savagely murdered. When detectives inform him that they have no leads on the killer, he suspects that he is not being told the whole truth. Desperate to find the monster who murdered his family, and with the help of his step-brother, Lawrence, and sister-in-law, Natalie, Robert must try to navigate through a web of political intrigue that involves a cop and the district attorney. The trio’s desperate pursuit for justice is played out in the course of one roller-coaster night.
The film features a top-billed cast, including Victor Browne (Tremors, The Confessional), as Robert Goodwin; Stephanie Drapeau (Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever) as Natalie; and Marc Raymond (Criminal Minds) as Lawrence. Alongside its recognized cast, Closure is noted for being conceived, written, cast and filmed in just 30 days as part of the 30 Day Film Challenge, a no-budget, Internet-based project created by the producers. Gaining the support of over 600,000 online followers in the first twelve days alone, filmmakers Marcin Teodoru, Tom Cole and Aaron Grasso were able to complete a truly impressive feature-film in record time. Shot in a mere five days, Closure remains one of the first ever entirely crowd-sourced and financed feature films, paving the way for a new era of independent filmmaking.
